The Caribbean is home to some of the earliest and most enduring expressions of Afro-Descendant resilience, culture, and resistance. The Caribbean continues to be both a frontline and a guiding light in the struggle for climate justice, reparations, and self-determination.

From the legacies of Maroon societies to modern-day leadership in climate negotiations through CARICOM and the Alliance of Small Island States, the region embodies the ongoing fight for sovereignty, sustainability, and survival.
