The Caribbean Community Climate Change Centre (CCCCC), as the grant recipient, is undertaking a set of activities to support the preparation of the proposed Caribbean Water Security and Sector Efficiency Program – Multi-Phase Approach (MPA) for Jamaica, Barbados, and Saint Lucia. These activities are being financed through a grant under the World Bank’s Grant Facility for Project Preparation (GFPP).
This Environmental and Social Commitment Plan (ESCP) outlines the measures and actions that CCCCC will implement to ensure the project activities comply with the World Bank’s Environmental and Social Standards (ESSs). It covers institutional arrangements, timelines, monitoring, reporting, and grievance mechanisms, and also identifies the environmental and social documents to be developed during implementation.
The ESCP is a living document that may be updated over time to address changing project needs and performance. It reflects CCCCC’s commitment to sustainable project preparation and environmental and social responsibility across participating countries.
