Carlos Fuller, International and Regional Liaison Officer (CCCCC)
The Institute of Chartered Accountants of the Caribbean (ICAC) held the 34th Annual Caribbean Conference of Accountants in Belize City from 23 to 25 May 2016. The International and Regional Liaison Officer of the Caribbean Community Climate Change Centre, Carlos Fuller was invited to make a presentation on “Implementing Climate Change in Business Strategy”. Mr Fuller spoke on the impacts climate change is having and will have on the economies of the Caribbean, the work the Centre is doing and exposed the participants to its online climate risk assessment tool, CCORAL. This tool which is freely accessible on the Centre’s website can be used by decision makers to assess the climate risk associated with their investments.
The theme of the conference was “Breaking Boundaries in the Marketplace”. It attracted approximately 300 participants from across the Caribbean and North America.
