3R-CReWS Grievance Redress Mechanism (GRM)
The Government of Barbados is implementing the R’s (Reduce, Reuse and Recycle) for Climate Resilience Wastewater Systems in Barbados (3R-CReWS) project. The aim is to increase its food production, decrease its vulnerability to climate change impacts and increase resilience through water technologies that will ensure sustainability of critical water resources for present and future generations.
Project implementation is for five years and during this time it may create some unintended and unforeseen adverse impacts for those living and utilizing the areas where the activities are being executed. It is for this reason that the CCCCC has created a platform where complaints can be registered and tracked for your convenience. The primary purpose being to expeditiously respond and resolve concerns.
The objective of the GRM is to have a structured approach from the registration of your complaint and to ensure inclusivity, fairness, transparency and accountability in arriving at an amicable solution. Each complaint is important to us and treated with the strictest confidentiality to protect the complainant’s identity for safety and security. There are multiple modes to record your complaints. These includes walking into the office or telephone and have an administrator assist you, by email, facsimile, letter – handwritten or typed (delivered or by post) and by social media outlets.
Scope of this GRM is to address environmental and social issues related to the project implementation.
